QDP

queer dance party in Nashville, TN

Our Mission Statement

QDP seeks to expand the availability of safe spaces in Nashville by providing a welcoming and respectful party for the LGBTQIA+ community in places where queerness is often invisible. We do this at the lowest possible price and redirect all proceeds from the party to local organizations and needs within the community.

In order to fulfill our mission, we ask that you follow these simple guidelines.

QDProtocol

Be Considerate

Show respect and kindness to other party-goes, as well as the staff (tip!). Our bathrooms are always gender-neutral - please be respectful of all bodies in bathrooms.

Violence, threats to personal safety, and bigotry of any kind will not be tolerated.

Be Consensual

Never touch, grab, grind, thrust, or otherwise make any physical contact with another person's body without their permission. Never assume. Always ask. By law, a person cannot give consent if they are severely intoxicated or unconscious. "No" means NO. If you want to dance with someone, ask.

Be Accountable

Never drink and drive. Watch out for others who have over-consumed and help them find a sober ride. If you see that someone is in trouble, help them or find someone who can. Do not let any behavior, such as threats to personal safety, racist behavior, or non-consensual acts, go unchecked.

No homophobia // No transphobia No racism // No sexism
No fatphobia // No ableism
No xenophobia // No classism
No indigenous appropriation

Respect is mandatory.

Otherwise you will be asked to leave.

Make it a place where everyone feels safe and welcome.
